The Roles:
We are currently hiring for three culinary positions: Commis Chef, Demi Chef , and Chef de Partie (CDP). Each role plays a crucial part in our kitchen's success, contributing to the creation of delectable dishes that delight our guests. Responsibilities:
Commis Chef:
- Assist in the preparation and production of various dishes.
- Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
- Learn and develop culinary skills under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Assist in the receiving and storage of food and supplies.
Demi Chef:
- Prepare and execute a specific section of the kitchen.
- Assist in menu development and creation of new dishes.
- Ensure the highest standards of food presentation and taste.
- Supervise Commis Chefs and provide guidance and training.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
Chef de Partie (CDP):
- Oversee a specific kitchen section, such as grill, sauté, or pastry.
- Create and execute dishes according to the restaurant's standards.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Manage inventory, food costing, and portion control.
- Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Head Chef in menu planning.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or relevant culinary training is preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel is an advantage.
- A passion for culinary arts and creativity in the kitchen.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
