About the role
A rare opportunity for an experienced Communications and Engagement Lead has arisen within our energetic and passionate Corporate & Indigenous Affairs team.
This role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication and Engagement strategies to support further embed our purpose and strategy, enhance reputation and build brand advocacy with our 120,000 team members across multiple sites, and stores.
What you will do
- Implement Communications and Engagement plans that effectively meet the needs of varying stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally across a diverse range of stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships to support positive outcomes for the organisation.
- Create engaging and strategically aligned content and activities.
- Provide expert advice and leadership in managing Communications and responses to issues management.
- Develop and execute high quality content for a variety of internal audiences across a range of channels.
- Strategically navigate an evolving environment.
- Further embed our refreshed strategy, vision, and purpose.
About you and your skills
An experienced communications professional with excellent interpersonal skills you can operate autonomously and engage in robust conversation with senior leadership.
Coming from an internal or external communications position you are experienced with issues management and can craft nuanced messaging for both internal and external consumption.
You bring a proven record of executing internal communication strategies to deliver high-quality and engaging content across a variety of channels to varied audience groups.
You'll also have
- Bachelor's degree in in journalism or communications.
- +7 years' experience in a similar role including demonstrated experience with Parliamentary inquiries, regulatory reviews and/or Royal Commissions.
- Demonstrated ability at implementing effective Communications and Engagement plans.
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management in complex environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for varying audience groups.
- Knowledge of the corporate environment and experience working within a corporate setting is a plus.
- Ability to deliver within clear timelines and manage issues in a timely manner.
