About the Organisation:
Ark Support Coordination is a values-driven organisation and the leading provider of Specialist Support Coordination to National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants and their networks in Western Australia. As a registered NDIS provider, we offer services to NDIS participants with complex needs throughout Western Australia.
About the Role:
The Communications Coordinator is responsible for internal and external communications at Ark Support Coordination.
- External communications include creating content for, and managing Ark’s social media platforms, maintaining the website and promotional materials.
- Internal communications include creating and/or formatting team and client resources and producing the staff newsletter in conjunction with other team members.
The Communications Coordinator represents Ark Support Coordination in the digital space, building relationships with key stakeholders, creating and sharing content reflective of our scope of service, systems we work in, vision and values.
A role with us means being surrounded and supported by a compassionate, highly-skilled and fun-loving team. We are looking for a part-time (0.6 FTE) and experienced marketing and communications individual to join our North Perth based metro team.
What We're Looking For:
Our newest team member will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications or Journalism, or significant experience in marketing and communications.
- Strong copywriting skills.
- Competency in platforms such as
- Canva, Squarespace, Hootsuite (or other social media scheduler),
- Google Business Profile,
- CapCut (or other video editing software),
- GarageBand (other audio editing software),
- Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, Sharepoint, Powerpoint and Word
- Strong communication skills and be able to interpret information in a concise, accessible and appealing manner
- Curiousity, enjoy learning and applying thorough research skills while creating content
- An aesthetic eye, be creative and innovative brainstorming ideas
- The ability to:
- Collaborate well with team members to gain a deeper understanding of services and client/work context
- Thrive in an autonomous role, with strong time management and prioritisation skills
Desirable:
- Experience in marketing within the disability sector or lived experience of disability/navigating the NDIS/disability services system will be highly regarded.
