We are looking for a talented communications professional to join our communications team at the Health Professional Councils Authority (HPCA) for a temporary role up to March 2025. This role will support strategic communications on behalf of the NSW Medical Council and the HPCA.
This is an exciting opportunity to play an integral part in protecting the public by supporting the HPCA and 15 health professional councils to manage complaints about health practitioners and promote patient safety and professional standards to NSW health professions.

What you'll be doing
The Communications Officer will work on an interesting and wide range of communications duties on behalf of the HPCA including leading projects, writing and editing enewsletters, and digital content, communications planning and delivery and stakeholder engagement. This role collaborates with internal stakeholders including HPCA teams, managers, and senior executives, as well as external stakeholders.
About you
We are looking for a communications professional with outstanding writing and content creation and publishing skills who is outcome focused, thinks strategically and works collaboratively. You will be degree qualified and have worked as a communications professional for at least 3 years.
Previous experience in health or public sector in a communications role will be highly regarded.
