What does the job look like?
The Communications and Corporate Affairs team supports Linfox to maintain current business, secure new business and engage Linfox team members, customers, and stakeholders.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Corporate Affairs and Communications, the Communications Specialist responsible for contributing to and delivering Linfox's news and publications, assist with internal communications and marketing campaigns and media relations support, and lead events and projects.

The Communications Specialist will work closely with the Marketing and Communications team and internal and external stakeholders to create high quality content, including planning, copywriting and editing to create informative and engaging communications for key audiences.
Key accountabilities

• Contributor journalist of Linfox's Solutions customer magazine
• Contribute to Linfox's media strategy, including managing reactive media
• Lead online news, including managing company website stories
• Generate and execute compelling story and publicity ideas through business partnering with key stakeholders
• Manage events end-to-end, including external communications and media relations
• Create and manage various communication materials, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Skills, Knowledge & Competencies

• Demonstrated experience in specialist communications roles within large corporate environments
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing projects and events
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Degree with a strong communications component, e.g., marketing, communications
• Skills in Adobe Suite including InDesign/Photoshop and video editing would be highly regarded
• Familiarity with WordPress desirable
• Understanding of what 'best practice' looks like on all social media platforms.
