About the Role:
The position of Community Care Officer - Elliott is responsible for assisting with the delivery of the Community Care Program such as assisting people who are either aged or have a disability, to meet their daily living needs including nourishment, personal hygiene, community and social support and other supports within the Community Care Program.
The Community Care Officer will provide support and services allowing people to remain independent within their own community.
The Essentials:
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in disability services.
- An excellent understanding of the NDIS and its funding requirements for service providers. Demonstrated skills and ability to engage with people living with disabilities and/or their careers, family members, and service providers to identify solutions.
- Experience liaising with external service providers such as remote clinics or General Practitioners and other community-based services and organisations to ensure services and supports are delivered effectively and in a timely manner.
- Must hold a current “C” class (manual) driver’s licence and have completed or are willing to undertake 4WD training.
- A current OCHRE Card, NDIS Worker Screening and have a current National Police Criminal History Check.
The Finer Details:
- Casual hourly rate $34.93 (including 25% casual loading)
- Remote Community Zone Allowance of $2.5100 per ordinary hour.
- 11% Superannuation.
