AddressNDNS have been providing optimal, holistic care and support services for more than 40 years within the community, in both the Aged and Disability sectors. We are growing in the area of Maitland and are seeking additional team members to service our clients. What will you do:
Domestic Assistance:
- General home/domestic duties (cleaning, shopping and respite)
- Support clients to maintain or develop independent living skills
- Take immediate action in an emergency to ensure the safety of clients, themselves and the community
- Develop effective, positive and respectful working relationship with clients
- Follow infection control guidelines
- Participate in staff development programs
Care Work:
- Provide personal care and support to individuals in their own home, including assistance with showering, dressing and bathing.
- Medication assistance
- Food preparation
- General welfare checks
- Assistance with activities (medical appointments, allied health, etc)
- Transport to and from medical appointments and social outings
- Supporting people with complex medical needs
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Minimum Cert III in Aged Care, Disability, Individual Support or similar
- Current Criminal History Check (or willing to obtain)
- Working with Children's Check (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screen (or willing to obtain)
- Current Senior First Aid/CPR (or willing to obtain)
- Current drivers licence & own reliable car, with insurance
