About the role
Our region is growing rapidly, with this growth comes the opportunity to support liveable communities. We are seeking an experienced Community Engagement Adviser to join our newly formed team to support the planning and delivery of Community Engagement plans for water, sewerage and recycled water infrastructure projects.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary and diverse working team, you will work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across the business.
You will work on Community Engagement plans to support the planning and construction phases of infrastructure projects, support the team to identify risks to customer experience and form impactful relationships. Success in this role will see Barwon Water continue to achieve for our community.
This role is to cover a secondment period until April 2025 and will be engaged via a third party.
About you
As a Community Engagement professional you will have highly developed communication skills and well-rounded interpersonal skills; someone who is able to manage and develop lasting relationships to achieve mutual beneficial outcomes.
You will be inquisitive and curious and seek to bring creativity and innovation to problem solving. At your heart you will be community minded and understand the need to keep our customers informed in a timely manner on programmes and campaigns.
Your experience in Community Engagement will be underpinned by your qualifications in communications. You will possess strong organisational skills, along with the ability to generate customer friendly information and adapt it for different platforms.
