Digital and Community Manager

Naked Wines is on a mission to disrupt the wine industry, benefiting wine lovers, winemakers, and our team members. And we’re after a Campaign Manager to help us do exactly that!

Naked Wines is looking for a dynamic team member to co-ordinate multi-channel initiatives and projects, ensuring the seamless execution of campaigns aligned with the Naked brand.

Our innovative approach addresses key challenges faced by talented winemakers, providing them upfront funding, distribution channels, and direct connections with consumers. By streamlining the sales and marketing approach, Naked Wines delivers exceptional value to our customers and supports 65 independent winemakers. Talented, hard-working small business owners who in turn, support growers, farmers and their own local communities.

Naked Wines Australia is based in Manly on Sydney’s stunning Northern Beaches (and remotely too) and of course, you can be assured there is great wine flowing!

What you’ll be focusing on:

We have almost 100,000 passionate Angels, over 60+ winemakers and partners beyond this that are currently part of our mission to disrupt the industry for the good of all involved.

At the foundations of our success was an ability to harness the power of our community, to create exceptional experiences, inform what we do and to grow through word of mouth / earned channels. A recommendation still beats marketing any day of the week.

Now at a different scale we want to bring this back to our core - both as a focus and part of our customers experience but also to make it the key driver of our next chapter of growth.

Naked Wines is seeking a passionate and experienced Community Manager to lead the engagement and growth of our vibrant community of customers (Angels), winemakers & partners to a point that drives an unbeatable experience (retention) and creates true advocacy (word of mouth)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead community management across owned and earned platforms, including social media, forums, and events that drive engagement & talkability
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive engagement, word-of-mouth, and referrals (including leadership & evolution of our Member Get Member product.
  • Create compelling content, experiences and involvement that resonates with our community, fostering connection and brand loyalty.
  • Cultivate relationships with Angels (customers), winemakers, and partners to foster a sense of belonging and shared purpose.
  • Manage and moderate online / offline communities, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience.
  • Transform our approach to community so that it becomes one of our biggest drivers of retention, acquisition and insight.
  • Support as the local lead and share learnings across key paid digital channels (social, search, lead gen) to amplify successful content & experiences that drive attention / proof of our CVP.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, product) to align community initiatives with business goals.

Requirements

Here are the skills we’d love you to have:

  • MVP mindset - Action > Conversation - take plans to customers and scale if successful
  • Passion for cultivating relationships & taking that to scale / self sustain.
  • Experience driving earned / PR / Word of mouth - amplifying proof points so that they ripple inside and outside of Naked.
  • Event /experience management - both physical and virtual
  • A person who likes to “make it happen” and can be at strength just as much writing the hypothesis as in with customers, winemakers and the team bringing it to life.
  • An eagerness for collaboration, thriving in small cross-functional team environments.
  • Resilience under pressure, maintaining composure in fast-paced scenarios.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and an ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Superior relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in community management, preferably in a multi-channel environment (industry agnostic from social movements to B2B!)
  • Demonstrated success in driving engagement, word-of-mouth, and referrals.
  • Strong hands on content creation and storytelling skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for making an impact and building relationships.
  • Understanding of owned and earned media channels.
  • Experience with community management tools and platforms.
