The role
As part of the Community Partnerships unit, the Community Flood Resilience Recovery Coordinator is responsible working with flood affected communities and key stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate a range of disaster resilience and recovery initiatives as a result of the October 2022 Flood Event.
The role involves:
- developing and informing on recovery matters
- coordinating the Community Recovery Officer Networking Group
- building upon community resilience to prepare for, respond to and recover from future disasters
- representing and advocating for impacted communities

To be successful in this role you will have:
- relevant qualifications and extensive community engagement experience
- a strong customer service focus
- knowledge and comprehension of Emergency Management Framework in Preparedness, Response and Recovery phases
