About the role
We are looking for a Community Registered Nurse to provide support to customers living in the Geraldton area. This rewarding role will see you utilising your nursing skills, whilst working within a friendly, supportive team.
There is no 'typical day' but it may include
- Providing clinical care to customers at home including but not limited to: Catheter changes, trachea changes, wound care and clinical assessments.
- Education and training of support workers.
- Liaising with families and coordinators around clinical care needs.
- Attending team or focus meetings when requested.
- Liaising with other health and allied health professionals
- Resource for clinical advice relating to our customers for Avivo staff
- Some regional travel may be required
You are motivated, passionate, flexible, and have a warm and caring nature coupled with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. You’ll have advanced communication, interpersonal, and person-centred collaboration skills. To be successful in this role you’ll need:
- APRHA registration (essential)
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Experience supporting and developing staff, preferably in a community setting is desirable
- Experience working with children, adults, disabilities and/or older people
- Evidence of good computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and listening
- Current NDIS Worker Screening check or willingness to obtain one
- A current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one (the successful candidate can obtain through Avivo)
