About us
Hampton Park Uniting Church (HPUC), also known as Uniting Place, is a Church Congregation within the Port Philip East Presbytery of the Uniting Church. With a long history of over 40 years, HPUC continues to live out its Christian outreach and connection to the people of Hampton Park.
Hampton Park is one of the most seriously disadvantaged communities in Victoria. It has a high proportion of marginalised people who struggle daily due to their predominantly low socio-economic status. HPUC sees its task as an inclusive, welcoming church which has become a community hub offering programs and activities that takes into account the diverse cultures, faiths and levels of poverty of the wider community.
Its current Social Support program includes: Basic English, Basic Computer Literacy, Parenting Skills, Playgroup, Community Garden, community free meal, emergency relief support, free legal advice and other related community programs and events.
