Of Wa Inc Location Australia We are seeking a dedicated Community Worker to join our team at The Australian Asian Association Of Wa Inc.
As a Community Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals and families within the Spanish Speaking and Asian community in Western Australia. Tasks So, what is a day in the life of a Community Support Worker like? No two days are the same - every day will be different in this fast-paced and dynamic role.
Duties and tasks includes: Community Support: Supporting our clients on community outings, e.g., shopping trips, excursions, lunches, appointments, and goal-based activities. Transport: Escorting our clients to medical and allied health appointments, hospital visits, and respite care. Domestic Support: Cleaning, tidying, and changing bedding to ensure a safe, clean, and sanitized environment for our clients.
Food Preparation: Preparing, cooking, and serving meals. Study the care plan and implement the support, education and training program in place Observe, monitor and record the progress of clients through case notes for every shift. Building relationships with community members Assessing needs and developing tailored support Monitoring and evaluating program outcomes Maintaining accurate records and reports Keeping up-to-date with relevant policies and regulations Qualification Requirements Certificate III in Community /Aged Care Previous experience working in a community-based role is a requirement.
