About the Position
We are looking for an Accountant for a permanent full-time position. The position of Company Accountant plays a crucial role within our organization, as it involves overseeing and managing financial operations to ensure accurate recording, reporting, and analysis of financial data. As a Company Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, implementing financial policies and procedures, and providing strategic guidance to support decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management
Responsible for the overall financial management of the company, including monitoring cash flows, budgeting, forecasting, and costing.
Your expertise will contribute to the development and execution of financial strategies to drive the company's growth and profitability. Having experience in using the Sage ERP system would be desirable, including preparing End of Month journals, Closing General Ledger accounts, preparing bank reconciliation, etc.
- Financial Reporting
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, etc.
- Compliance and Audit
Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, maintaining a strong control environment and implementing necessary improvements.
- Taxation
Responsible for managing tax-related matters, including preparing and filing tax returns, and preparing monthly BAS.
- Financial Analysis
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes, assess the company's financial performance, and identify areas for improvement.
- Other General Tasks
Assist team members with accounts payable & receivable, Bank reconciliation, Managing debtors & creditors, and processing billings.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as an Accountant, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation regulations.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Desirable:
- A professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA / CA)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
- Fluent in English and Mandarin speaking
