About the Role
Reporting to the GM & MD, the Company Accountant plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations to ensure the company's financial health. Responsibilities include maintaining financial records, producing, and analysing reports, providing insights to enhance financial performance, and ensuring compliance with taxation requirements. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting background, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly maintenance of General Ledger, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Bank reconciliation and management of Accounts Payable and Receivable.
- Processing invoices and managing payroll.
- Preparation of P&L and balance sheet analyses.
- Forecasting, budget preparation, and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Liaison with project teams and external accountants/bookkeepers.
- Preparation of financial statements and internal reports.
- Handling Jobpac-related tasks such as project setup and procedures.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CA qualification desirable.
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction sector.
- Thorough understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in Jobpac and other financial software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
