Volleyball SA (VSA) is the peak organisation for the administration of the sport of volleyball within South Australia. As the governing body of the second most popular sport in the world, Volleyball SA is striving to develop our sport at all levels of the game, from training juniors to casual social play to high-level competition. As a non-profit organisation, Volleyball SA puts all funds generated from its programs back into the sport of volleyball.
About the role
Get ready to be at the heart of the action as excitement builds for the 2025 Beach Volleyball World Championships in Adelaide! If you're passionate about sports and want to join the buzz of this prestigious event, we have the perfect opportunity for you. As the Competitions and Education Coordinator at Volleyball SA, you'll play a pivotal role in spreading the excitement and enthusiasm of the World Championships by coordinating our refereeing, coaching, and competition streams.
Key Responsibilities are
- Develop and implement an annual Operational Education Plan, coordinate with educational institutions to create pathways for aspiring coaches and referees, and nurture a pipeline of skilled officials through education and accreditation courses.
- Maintain accurate records of referees and coaches, ensuring compliance with accreditation and legislation requirements, and manage the education platform from end to end.
- Roster referees, supervisors and arena coordinators for SA Volleyball League (SAVL) and SAVL Junior competitions, assist with weekly competition coordination, and ensure all athletes and staff are current VSA members.
- Manage and maintain competition equipment, ensuring availability and quality, report any damage or loss, and coordinate stock takes.
- Establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders, ensure effective and timely communication, and maintain the reputation of VSA as an inclusive and professional organisation.

- First Aid Certificate
- Current Provide/Perform CPR
- Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
- Drivers Licence
- Be flexible as out-of-evening and weekend work will be required
