Complex Response Team – Career Opportunity
Fina are launching a new Complex Response Team in Landsborough to support a client with an intellectual disability and significant behaviors of concern.

We will be hosting a meet and greet to discuss this role Monday 22nd April at 05:00pm at our Woombye Facility for you to come along and ask questions.
What is the purpose and aim of a Complex Response Team?
To provide unique support, safety and security for our clients through a multi-skilled and composite team. By being able to address these specific needs of the client, we will enhance the outcomes through our person-centred care model. The Complex Response Team will be totally client focused, physically and mentally fit, and able to plan, deliver and review supports in all circumstances. It will also plan and react according to pre-established protocols and trained emergent responses – professional in all situations and locations.
All new Complex Response team members will be required to participate in the following:
- 6-week induction / final selection process
- Physical fitness check
- General health check
- Criteria/Revelian online testing (multiple components)
- Scenario reaction assessment by our specialist team

Pay, conditions and work/life balance
- As a Complex Health Team member, you will be on a salary of $72,800.00
- As a Permanent Part time Salaried worker, you will receive 7 rostered shifts (56 hours) with an ability and expectation to pick up 2 shifts when required per fortnight.
- Equally share all shift types with your team working a 6-week roster rotating each fortnight working Mornings, afternoons, sleepover/awake shifts as per the service requirements.
- Line partner arrangement to provide self-managed flexibility for approved shift swaps.
- Salary-packaging is available for all employees.
Paid on-the-job training is the “Fina Way”
Qualifications and/or experience in Individual Support, Disability Support , Complex Care medical support and Mental Health are desirable - but not necessary.
We will train you in the “Fina Way” by providing you with ongoing training, enhanced education opportunities and genuinely helpful feedback.
The “Fina” Way is built around our own purpose-built, leading-edge software for data capture and analysis. This way, each client’s support program is continually improved and enhanced.
Fina staff work directly with and learn from Fina’s leaders, managers, allied health partners and Fina’s in-house subject matter experts - including our Registered Nurses and behaviour specialists.
You will also work directly with psychiatrists and other clinicians to ensure your effectiveness in facilitating your client’s safe and effective transition from institutional life to life in the community.

Position Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments and evaluate current and potential situations
- Remain alert and attentive to subtle behaviour changes/triggers
- Revised in current de-escalation and conflict resolution strategies to defuse potentially hostile situations and prevent escalation
- Exhibit composure and demonstrate empathy towards the client and other members of our support team
- Exercise active listening while interacting with the client and other members of our support team in all scenarios
- Ability to navigate behaviours of concern in a professional manner
- Use effective communication in all situations using clear, concise, and appropriate / assertive language when needed to convey messages and manage emotions
- Collaborate with client and team members to coordinate response and ensure safety is upheld
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues, clients, and the public to manage emotions and resolve conflict
- Ability to construct concise reports and document incidents as they appear, including recommendations and follow-up measures
- Adhere to policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
- Actively contribute to key elements of excellence in supports
- Participate in ongoing training to maximise efficiency in the role
- Maintain physical fitness
- Think critically and make intelligent decisions in high stress situations
Mandatory Requirements
- QLD Driver License
