Compliance and Audit Coordinator

At O’Neill Contracting, we are leaders in our industry and committed to delivering excellence in every project. We are seeking a dedicated Compliance and Audit Coordinator to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards of regulatory Compliance and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Audits: Coordinate and support internal audits across the business to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. These include internal audits for both NHVR & WA Accreditation
- Monitor Compliance: Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs and controls specific to the transport and civil construction industry, including managing quality registers and databases, document control processes and the creation and issuing of SWMS for all relevant projects.
- Risk Management: Identify potential compliance risks related to construction and transport operations and develop strategies to mitigate them. This includes managing and investigating incidents, analysing risk and developing solutions to manage.
- Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures tailored to the transport and civil construction sectors.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management, highlighting areas of concern and recommending improvements.
- Training: Conduct training sessions to educate staff on industry-specific compliance standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Relevant qualifications highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a compliance, audit, or related role, preferably within the transport or construction industries.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent communication abilities. Strong problem solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Knowledge: Understanding of risk assessment and incident investigation, as well as regulatory requirements. Familiarity with safety standards and best practices.
