Job description

Established over 30 years ago, EQUALS is an independent education provider located in Adelaide's CBD.

We are a vibrant and diverse team that is committed to fostering values based and industry driven education.   We are local leaders in health, nursing and community services education and we pride ourselves on delivering innovative courses and services that empower our students to achieve their fullest potential.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team.

Opportunity Overview

As a Quality and Compliance Officer, you will contribute critically in ensuring that we adhere to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with various teams to develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and practices that uphold our commitment to excellence in education. You'll enjoy driving internal auditing functions and staff quality training and coaching. You'll also provide essential administrative support as needed and maintain active communication with our regulators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to monitor compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks, accreditation standards, and our policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff members on Quality and Compliance-related matters, including training and development initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support in minuting relevant meetings, document editing and new design (including assessment and training related documents).
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between EQUALS and external regulatory bodies, accreditation agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and best practices in the field of Australian vocational and higher education, and ensure that our policies and procedures remain up-to-date and aligned with industry standards.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory agencies, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendation.

About You

This full time opportunity will suit someone looking to start or grow their career in Quality and Compliance oversight. The right candidate will have well developed IT skills including intermediate to advanced word processing.  Preferably experience in minuting meetings would be an advantage.  They will enjoy working in a busy environment and making a vital contribution within a small and growing team.

You may have tertiary qualifications in the field and/or be willing to undertake further education and training in compliance and quality management.

Benefits

  • A diverse and inclusive workplace culture that values innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Some work hours flexibility
  • Diverse responsibilities and a dynamic team
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within a supportive and collaborative environment.
