We are seeking a Compliance Officer Plumbing and Tradewaste to join our Retail and Front line Services Group in the Customer Services Division.

The Opportunity

As the Compliance Officer Plumbing and Tradewaste you will service the trade waste customer portfolio by sampling and inspecting trade waste discharge sites, inspecting trade waste facilities, and monitoring all site containment backflow compliance.

What you'll do:

• We are seeking a Compliance Officer Plumbing and Tradewaste to join our Retail and Front line Services Group in the Customer Services Division.
• Managing portfolio of Non-Residential Trade Wastewater customer accounts, providing Trade Wastewater customers with assistance in improving quality of discharge.
• Ownership of the Plumbing and Trade Waste team's sample and inspection program, with the goal of ensuring the Plumbing and Trade Waste Team Leader is aware of all safety hazards and compliance concerns reported.
• Coordinating and scheduling Trade Wastewater inspections.
• Ensure prompt resolution of customer enquiries, Velocity, team phone queue, internal and other stakeholders, and shared mailbox enquiries.

What you'll need to be successful:

Essential Criteria:

• Customer support experience.
• Strong ability to plan, organise and coordinate workload.
• In-person Customer Service.
• Highly proficient problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Ability to provide coaching and training to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in using computer programs such as MS Word, MS, Excel,
• MS Access and MS Outlook.
• High level written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Drivers licence (Class C).

Desirable Criteria:

• Knowledge and understanding of Hunter Water Customers.
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of water utility operations, building services, Trade Waste Services, and site containment backflow prevention compliance.
