About the Opportunity
The Compliance Officer Ranger will be responsible for ensuring that all operations and activities within our organisation comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role will include Investigating, actioning, and representing Council in relation to complaints and breaches in legislation and Local Government laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for upholding ethical standards.
What you need to be successful:
- Highly Motivated with the ability to deal with challenging customers art times, whilst having a strong passion and commitment for customer service.
- Strong team player with proven ability to work autonomously with initiative, forward thinking and capacity to solve problems and make decisions.
- High level communication skills, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and interpersonal skills including ability to liaise effectively and confidently with internal and external customers.
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Working with Children’s Check NS
- National Police Check
- Pre-employment Medical
Desirable
- Certificate IV in Local Government Regulatory Services or extensive on the job experience in a Local Government.
- Experience as an Authorised Officer under the Protection of the Environment Operations Act.
- Experience in CM9 or similar record keeping software.
- Understanding of Local Government process.
