Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer with a strong background in financial services to join our team. This role involves managing compliance within Salt&Lime, providing advice, responding to incidents, and conducting reviews to ensure alignment with our Compliance Framework and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and enhance compliance capabilities and outcomes within Salt&Lime, including compliance advice, incident response, and thematic compliance reviews in line with the Salt&Lime Compliance Framework.
- Prepare assessments and opinions on potential breaches of regulations, industry standards, or codes of practice, identifying penalties or consequences for non-compliance.
- Facilitate decisions on the management, maintenance, and consistency of Salt&Lime's controls.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the business areas we support and how controls and regulations apply.
- Coach and support team members and peers, enhancing their compliance and control capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies across Salt&Lime Operations and the business.
What We Are Looking For:
- At least two years of experience in risk management or compliance within the financial services sector.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in financial services, such as RG209, RG 96, and the National Consumer Credit Protection (NCCP) Act.
- Strong analytical capabilities with a solid background in complaint handling and risk management.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively coaching and supporting team members.
- A proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
