Building Industry Training Pty Ltd is a growing leader in their field and operating RTO, servicing clients including over 1200 apprentices/trainees throughout Queensland. Due to continual growth, we require an experienced Compliance Officer to join the team to carry out the following tasks:
- Promote BIT by developing strong relationships and providing efficient customer service to stakeholders with an agenda to increase customer satisfaction and encouraging “repeat business” opportunities.
- Ensure all BIT administration, operations and compliance functions are implemented in accordance with company policy, housekeeping levels are maintained, and employee attitude is consistent with BIT business objectives.
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure contract compliance.
- Ensure administration and compliance activities and objectives are implemented in an effective, productive and efficient way.
- Conduct internal spotchecks and audits of BIT procedures and systems with the aim of improving efficiencies.
- Map from training packages to units of competency.
- Develop Training and Assessment Strategy (TAS).
- Manage Accounts and Financial Functions as requested by the RTO Manager.
- Oversee Building Industry Training Website and compliance of marketing products as requested by the RTO Manager.
- Maintain currency of all BIT recording system and files.
- Assist with the coordination of industry specific apprentice off site training with trainers in consultation with the RTO Manager.
- Ensure compliance with ASQA, CSQ, DESBT, NCVER quality and reporting outcomes.
- Advise external parties of obligations within contractual requirements.
- Handle complaints and liaise with external parties to obtain a mutually beneficial outcome for all parties while meeting contractual obligations.
- Reports to the Compliance Manager.
The successful candidates will:
Have previous experience in a compliance role
Previous experience in an RTO
Previous experience with mapping and writing from training packages to units of competency
Have an understanding of a Training and Assessment Strategy (TAS) or previous experience developing
Have attention to detail
Be a fast accurate typist
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to follow predetermined systems and procedures
Be a team player
Enjoy a fast-paced office environment
Exposure to a Customer Relationship Management database is highly regarded but not essential
