The Conference & Events Coordinator is the anchor of our high performing Events team. With responsibility for the coordination of a wide range of events in Cairns – the days will be varied and challenging as you support everything from weddings to product launches to spectacular dinners. From preparing proposals and agreements to aligning schedules and arranging travel, this position will jump right into the middle of what makes our events and conferencing facilities unique. The role is based at Crystalbrook Riley and works across Crystalbrook Bailey and Crystalbrook Flynn.
Responsibilities include:
- Provision of exceptional customer service with a professional, efficient and positive attitude
- Preparation of agreements, proposals and schedules for the Cairns portfolio of Hotels
- Coordinating between our clients and operations to ensure smooth and effective procedures
- Maintain customer data within our Event Management Software throughout the event process to ensure up-to-date information for all future bookings, schedule weekly reports and other ad hoc administrative tasks
- Jump in and assist with events with passion and enthusiasm – execute every event with flair!
- Engage in a friendly yet professional manner with guests and colleagues to ensure no detail is left to chance
- Highly customer focused with exceptional initiative and a drive for ongoing success
- Knowledge in Conference & Events and/or F&B operations (hotel operations is a bonus)
- Able to work a varying roster when needed. Nights and weekends are when the best events are held!
- You never miss the small details and take pride in exceptional delivery
- Ability to use Opera/iVvy or other Event Management Software with strong IT skills
- A strong ability to manage many tasks at once
