We are seeking to employ a person in our Rockingham facility for the purpose of providing Configuration Management services and support to the Scylla In Service Support (ISS) Programme and upkeep of maintenance procedures in our customers management system.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Drivers Licence – Class C as a minimum.
- Must hold a minimum of NV1 clearance
KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Configuration Support Officer, you are accountable for:
- Managing the Scylla Sonar Configuration baseline in the Thales Configuration Management (CM) System.
- Assisting the Underwater Systems (UWS) Configuration Management organisation with the provision of configuration data, their attributes and their validity across the whole lifecycle.
- Ensuring the integrity of the definition, recording and traceability of the configuration data
- Creating the PCA audit sheets, entering changes into the Thales CM System and creating the formal PCA reports.
- Managing the creation and maintenance of Maintenance Requirement Records (MRR) in the CoA Ships Information Management System (SIMS) including MRR Amendment Proposal (MAP) and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA).
- Raising the Maintenance Control Record (MCR) in SIMS for conducting Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)
- Creating and maintaining Fitted Equipment (FE) Records in SIMS resulting from Configuration Change Proposals (CCPs).
- Providing technical Configuration Support and data to the Scylla team.
- Support the Scylla team by providing leadership with respect to the use and administration of Configuration Management tools.
KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience (5 or more years) in Configuration Management or Engineering Discipline.
- Trained in Configuration Management fundamentals, either through internal training or formal qualifications.
- Must be able to multitask, have a flexible work attitude and adapt to changing priorities.
- A high level of interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
- Aptitude and experience for interpreting technical engineering information (drawings and manuals).
- Experience in managing technical documentation life-cycles.
- Working knowledge of engineering lifecycles and Configuration Management requirements.
