The Position
An exciting opportunity has become available for a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive business growth in the Sydney region. As the BDM, you will play a pivotal role in propelling our client's growth, both by generating new leads and nurturing existing relationships. This role demands a unique blend of creativity, dynamism, and superior interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with Tier 1 and down builders, trades etc. Having pre-established connections and leads with Tier 1-2 builders will be a significant advantage.
The Role
The role includes (but not limited to):
- Identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, aligning with our client's strategic vision and innovation in building solutions.
- Strengthen and expand relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and delivering custom solutions.
- Lead a team of estimators, inspiring them to achieve excellence and contributing to a collaborative work environment.
- Represent our client in the industry, demonstrating their one-stop-shop capabilities and unique value proposition at events and forums.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in Business Development or sales, particularly in the construction industry (preferred).
- Some working knowledge around construction (preferred).
- Pre-established connections and leads with Tier 1-2 builders (preferred).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to attend events and handle urgent requests as needed
