Construction Project Engineer - Join Our Project Team at Fluor!
Are you a Construction Engineer with at least 3 - 5 years professional experience with a passion for driving value and excellence and want to work on some of the states biggest and most complex projects?
Role Overview:
As a Construction Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our growing Construction team. You will be predominantly office based supporting Project execution, but the role will require site work. The site component supporting execution will be a mix of discrete short-term visits and rotational work to support execution as required as a Project assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain familiarity with applicable codes and standards on a project
- Receive and distribute project design documents
- Understand the objectives of the site survey and provide horizontal and vertical control
- Perform surveillance/examinations, to ensure that the Quality objectives are being met
- Actively participate in knowledge sharing
- Perform assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and ability
- Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems
- Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
- Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
- Pursue own personal and professional development including self-directed learning via OneFluor
- Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
Qualifications/Experience:
- Accredited degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study.
- 3 - 5 previous years of work-related experience.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- A desire to learn and apply that knowledge
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
