The Spark Consortium has been selected for the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project.
The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.
The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.
About the Opportunity
To support the delivery of the North East Link Central Package we are seeking expressions of interest for the Construction Engineering team to cover all disciplines including tunnelling and civil works, to be a part of an iconic construction project based in Melbourne, Victoria.

We are seeking for construction specialists to join our growing team in the following areas:
- Roadworks
- Bridgeworks
- Piling & Foundation Works
- Major Concrete Structures
- Tunnelling Works
- Traffic Management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Civil Contractor
- Proven experience in successfully delivering packages
- Ability to manage and mentor a team of engineers
- Background in both self-perform and sub-contractor management
- Proven record in Safety, Quality and Cost Management
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivation and drive to achieve value-for-money results.

- Junior Engineer Roles $90,000-$120,00
Please be advised that this project is a large scale T1 project with potential for 24/7 shift work, whilst we will aim for weekend work to be split fairly between employees there may be role requirements on occasion for evening shift work.
