Your new role
We are looking for a Construction Manager to join our client on a 6-month contract working on a glass recycling plant project.
Your main duties will be, but not limited to:
- Working on installation of compressors, pipers/skids, filters, pressure vessels and piping.
- Review and advise on mechanical construction documentation and plans during the project definition stage.
- Take control of the construction site, and be the primary person in charge.
- Implement and ensure compliance with the safety construction systems.
- Evaluate and review contractor construction documentation.
- Solve problems and implement solutions regarding construction and engineering deficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with project scope costs, including schedule and construction plans & strategies.
- Report construction progress and, where required, advise on plans to rectify any deviations.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager with a background in water, water treatment plants or mining.
The required skills are:
- Technical knowledge and regulatory requirements of hazardous areas, Pressure Vessels, Piping, Planning Permits, AS/NZS standards
- Professional knowledge of P&ID’s, process safety, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment and design, Instrumentation, Process Control, construction safety.
Professional knowledge of construction methods and plans.
The ability to manage and influence projects across functional teams.
Use of project related software and tools.
