About the opportunity
The Construction Manger reports direct to the State Building Manager. In this highly rewarding role, your focus will be to provide leadership, support and manage a team of Construction site supervisors, overseeing all stages of construction and delivery of superior quality homes, completed within the specified timelines and budget.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee your teams communication to all home owners providing frequent job updates and site meetings at critical stages
- Assisting your team to conduct and complete all critical stage QA inspections to ensure high quality homes are built on time and to budget
- Communicating effectively at a senior level, including working, advising and reporting to the State Building Manager and the senior management team on key construction KPIs
- Leading by example in all areas of WHS
- Supporting, mentoring and driving the achievement on non-financial and financial goals
- Facilitating weekly trade labour allocation meetings to ensure all jobs have activity and overall trade quality is maintained
- Prepare internal reports and workflow forecasting job status on a weekly & monthly basis
- Collaborate with our estimating, drafting, project delivery teams to continually improve our processes
- Oversee relationships with trades and suppliers to ensure Construction KPI’s & milestones can be achieved
About you
To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the purpose and core values of Arden Homes and NEX Group along with:
- A Building Trade Certificate or tertiary education in Construction Management
- Minimum of 5 years residential home industry experience
- A strong project management ability to coordinate multiple service providers and suppliers to complete homes expediently
- Considerable knowledge of the basic methods, practices, tools, materials and work standards related to the building of Residential Homes
