Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide customer care through telephone support to people living with diabetes including registrants and/or members, donors, online shop customers and internal stakeholders in a reliable, considerate and ethical manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand that being available for the person who calls and needs to speak to us comes first.
- Represent Consumer and Business Services internally and the organisation externally in a positive light and know that based on the outstanding service provided, you are the gateway to the ongoing relationship that the charity has with the person diagnosed with diabetes.
- Provide a high level of service to other key internal and external stakeholders including (but not limited to) members, online shop customers, donors and other stakeholders.
- Manage inbound sales and service enquiries handling orders and provision of information relating to NDSS, membership and other products.
- Respond to any requests and know who to transfer the person to, should they require further information.
- Complete allocated activities efficiently and effectively capturing information and processing in multiple systems simultaneously.
- Meet targets and KPI's
- Multi-skilling for other functions in Consumer and Business Services as required and/or directed.
Required Capabilities
- Experience in a contact/Call Centre or customer service role.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail & the ability to multitask.
- Previous experience working with a CRM system is highly desirable.
- Professional telephone manner with the ability to demonstrate empathy.
- Proficiency with MS Office software, database systems and strong data entry skills.
