Our Content Marketing Specialist position isn’t your typical copywriting role. You’ll be using your exceptional talents to create engaging content for client websites with the help of our unique technology known as Enigma. Simply put, Enigma combines metadata with human writing to produce millions of high-quality, scaled pages with soul.
As a talented Content Marketing Specialist, you’ll be writing compelling copy that is tailored to optimise search engine enquiries. You’ll uphold each brand’s distinctive tone of voice and ensure messaging resonates with the target audience, both domestic and international. You’ll also be helping our Editors and Project Managers with various tasks, which may include editing, fact-checking and reviewing content, as well as setting up projects within the Enigma interface.
You won’t just need to be a whiz with words to succeed in this position. You enjoy a challenge. You’re curious about technology and content at scale. You’re eager to learn the intricacies of Enigma (it’s called Enigma for a reason) and open to training and feedback. Of course, we’ll provide you with all the training and support you need to be an expert in this innovative method of content creation.
This is a hybrid office and work-from-home role. You must be available to come into our dog-friendly office several times a week to work with Editors, Project Managers and a furry friend or two (a love of dogs is a bonus!). Ideally, you’ll be Brisbane-based, but we’re willing to consider remote options in exceptional circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create well-written and persuasive content using our proprietary software, Enigma
- Adapt your writing style to fit the client's brand and target market (US, Australia or UK)
- Work collaboratively with the team, including Editors, Project Managers and Developers, to plan and deliver projects
- Conduct research to gather accurate and relevant information on various topics
- Review and refine your own content to ensure it meets our high standards
- Incorporate client feedback into drafts and make revisions where needed
- Adhere to brand deadlines
- Occasionally write custom content, e.g. destination and travel product guides.
Mandatory Skills:
- 3+ years of writing experience with a portfolio of work (published or unpublished)
- Exceptional English language and grammar skills
- A flair for creative writing and crafting original content
- Strong editing and proofreading skills
- A meticulous eye for detail
- A willingness to learn and take on feedback
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
- Ability to adapt and write across different industries, styles, audiences and spellings
- Ability to conduct research using reliable sources
- Tech savvy and comfortable learning and using technology broadly.
Desirable Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, PR, Communications or other relevant fields
- A strong understanding of content strategy, brand positioning and marketing principles
- Knowledge of AP Style.
