The Marketing Content Writer is required to manage and execute BDPG’s marketing content function. The Marketing Content Writer will be a skilled writer with a keen eye for detail who can distil ideas into concise and engaging content to connect with internal and external stakeholders. They will be a team player, can collaborate with colleagues, clients and professional partners and be organised showing initiative to achieve results.
This role is best suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, who can work autonomously, manage projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organisation. This role will ensure BDPG’s communications activities are aligned with the Marketing Strategy and complement the organisation’s strategic objectives.
About the Role:
•Oversee internal and external communications, ensuring alignment with brand identity and objectives.
•Collaborate with stakeholders to convey key messages and promote organisational initiatives.
•Write, develop and edit engaging and clear content to promote BGPG to our various audiences via social media posts, website copy, blogs, reports, brochures, factsheets, and eDMs.
•Collaborate with the marketing team to conduct keywords research and optimise SEO content.
•Analyse website traffic and user engagement metrics to continuously improve.
•Manage media relations and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders or media outlets as necessary.
•Stay informed with industry trends and best practices.
•General marketing and communication support and duties as required.
About You:
•Ideally a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Marketing, Communications or Journalism role and/or relevant tertiary qualifications.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
•Strong internal and external stakeholder engagement skills.
•Results oriented and self-motivated.
•Ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple projects/tasks to deadlines.
•Experience using marketing platforms, e.g. social media, email, Wordpress an advantage.
