Visy’s Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management Division, Build Run Repair (BRR) is a business that has been borne from the Visy / Pratt group of companies. The professional and experienced team are charged with maintaining Visy's portfolio of factories and building its new waste-to-energy plants.
The Opportunity:
Visy/BRR are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator ready for a challenging yet rewarding role in a high-profile construction project. We are offering an excellent opportunity to join a leading team on a 24-month fixed-term contract, with further projects in the pipeline.
As Contract Administrator, you will play a critical role within our Commercial team, working with experienced Project Managers and Engineers, in delivering a state-of-the-art greenfield glass recycling and manufacturing facility. This role will work with contractors on site and international suppliers ensuring all contractual requirements are achieved and obligations met.
The Role:
Reporting to the Project Control and Commercial Manager based on-site at Yatala, QLD, you will be working with the project management team and contractors on a daily basis. This will include, but not limited to:
Liaison with Corporate Procurement in the development of contractual documentation, including collaboration with senior project team members
Preparation of Contract Administration Plan summaries to enable the project team to manage the contractors in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions and under legislative requirements
The review and management of contracts, ensuring compliance and alignment with project objectives
Working collaboratively with Project Managers and the Commercial Manager to oversee contractor claims, and certification of payments
Preparation of Commercial correspondence as required, maintain contractual registers, and work with the broader team on risk management models
Assisting with SAP transactions, vendor management, and ad-hoc reporting
Supporting the procurement process, from requisition to payment, ensuring timely and accurate vendor interactions
Contributing to project budget reporting, forecasting, and general administrative support
What you will bring to the team:
Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Business/Commerce, Law, or related field
Proven experience as a Contract Administrator, especially in civil and commercial construction environments
Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong skills in Adobe Pro and a good understanding of document control
Experience in SAP, Sharepoint, Aconex, Asite, Commnia, or similar tools are an advantage
Key Skills:
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Strong analytical skills and the capability to manage complex procurement activities.
Tenacity to engage with the broader team to meet the required timelines for contractual deliverables.
