Key Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will have the following duties:

• Design, prototype, and implement electronic systems for marine applications.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to analyse requirements, propose solutions, and ensure timely execution of projects.
• Conduct research and feasibility studies to evaluate the latest electronic components, devices, and technologies.
• Perform circuit design, simulation, and PCB layout using industry-standard software tools.
• Develop firmware/software for embedded systems and microcontrollers.
• Test and validate electronic systems, troubleshooting and resolving any issues or malfunctions.
• Assembly of fine pitch PCB's and soldering of components. Termination of harnesses and cables and fault finding using diagnostic equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in electronic system design, development, and testing.
• Proficiency in schematic capture, circuit simulation, and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer/CircuitStudio, Cadence, Eagle).
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C/C++, Python, or VHDL.
• Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontroller architectures and VESC motor controllers.
• Hands-on experience designing, assembling, and testing custom electronics for use in pre-production environments
• Knowledge of resolving EMC/EMI issues
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
• Previous experience with high power electronics and battery systems is a plus.
