YOUR ROLE
As the Contract Manager for our clothing retailer customer site at Truganina VIC, you'll manage the organic and future growth of our customer base, ensuring we have a highly capable team, exceptional customer relationships, and strong commercial and safety results, amongst other things.
The role will also have management oversight of two other sites in Truganina (wholesale & e-commerce customer site), and Derrimut (CEVA multi-contract site).
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:
- Oversee the safe, compliant and cost-effective day-to-day operations associated with a multi-site 3PL warehouse environment
- Forecast requirements, manage profit/loss, schedule expenditure, analyse variances and initiate corrective actions to meet financial and operational objectives
- Develop and maintain an engaged team and culture that centres on safety, service and operational excellence
- Coach, develop and effectively manage team performance
- Conduct key customer monthly and quarterly reviews, audits and operational relationship management
- Manage operations to objectives around safety and environment, warehouse KPIs, Kaizen, LEAN, service delivery, profitability and related metrics/targets
- Hold overall accountability for labour management / costs and ER/IR matters.
Our ideal candidate has extensive proven experience managing multi-site 3PL warehouse operations and:
- Significant experience in leading, coaching, developing and engaging individuals and teams
- Sound commercial and financial acumen, analytical and critical reasoning skills
- Experience and/or knowledge of enterprise agreements, labour planning and/or industrial relations
- Excellent communication, stakeholder / customer management and planning skills
- Strong safety leadership and continuous improvement mindset, including understanding of foundational / advanced tools (KAIZEN, LEAN, 5S, etc.)
- Bonus: experience gained in an automated warehouse environment.
