The role will be supporting effective communication and relationships with third party service providers in the management, monitoring and administration of grants of financial assistance and other forms of assistance in accordance with contractual agreements and agreed service delivery standards for homelessness and social housing services.
• Engage with and provide advice to contract managers of funded providers under the Housing Act 2003 and Community Services Act, funding agreements, department policies, program specifications and guidelines.
• Negotiate renewal, variations and ending of contracts with funded providers.
• Support the management of provider compliance which includes day to day contact, performance review meetings, service reviews, regular reporting and complaint management.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of social housing through participation in working groups and on projects.
• Build and maintain productive working relationships with key internal and external partners and stakeholders.
• Participate in regional contract management telelinks, sector network meetings and conferences.
• Prepare ministerial and executive correspondence and other forms of business correspondence in a timely and professional manner, consistent with departmental guidelines.
• Maintain professional awareness and understanding of the social housing system and in the context of the broader human service response expected of the department.
• Participate in the development of contract management strategies, processes, and tools to support consistent practice, including QContracts.
• Lead and ensure you establish and maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.
