The South East Queensland (SEQ) Schools Project is a key initiative of the Department of Education to provide public education facilities in the rapidly growing South East Queensland corridor. Within this project, seven new schools were delivered through Aspire Schools, under Queensland's Public Private Partnership (PPP) framework. Ventia delivers management, hard and soft maintenance services to all seven schools.
About the Role:
The Contract Services Manager leads relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance in contract delivery. They manage contract requirements, communicate them to operational teams, and oversee procurement and contractor processes. The role also involves managing operational reporting, data, and analytics development.
Primary Responsibility include:
Develop and maintain detailed understanding of contract deliverables, client specific requirements and operational delivery model, ensuring areas for innovation and improvement are identified and raised for contract discussion.
Manage performance of area of accountability including client feedback forums, subcontractor agreements and workforce delivery
Liaise with contract support teams, in the management and delivery of contract requirements to assigned portfolio.
Set goals and objectives with operational staff to ensure that all work schedules are adhered to, and assist when and where required, to achieve service delivery standards.
Ensure all sites are complaint in relation to site documentation to achieve contractual compliance.
Communicate effectively with Clients/Customers and staff on issues pertaining to service delivery, operational issues, project progress and Continual Improvement.
Ensure the adequate management, through supervisory teams, of performance or conduct issues with employees in accordance with the agreed MSA and State policies and procedures. Documenting relevant performance and reporting areas of concern as required to the State.
Perform inspections as scheduled and/or ad hoc on service delivery areas throughout all disciplines of the contract requirement.
Comply with all internal policies and procedures as well as all Risk Management, Quality Assurance and Health, Safety and Environment management systems.
Managing all works in line with contractual requirements to achieve required KPIs and associated reporting.
Managing effective communication, negotiation and conflict resolution with subcontractors, clients, and onsite staff
Ensure the highest standards of professional conduct, transparency, accountability, and trust are delivered through this contract.
Guaranteeing 100% commitment to protecting sensitive information and ensuring all services adhere to security, compliance, legislative requirements.
Remain available through an on-call roster as required.
Act as 2IC to the Project Director as required
About You
Blue Card – Working with Childre
Relevant industry experience with specific knowledge of the environment for both Facilities Maintenance and Project Management (Education sector preferred)
Demonstrated People and Stakeholder Management experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage multi-tasking and time, and to deliver a value for money seamless service to the Client.
Demonstrated decision making abilities combined with a developed level of innovative thinking.
Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
Demonstrated written communication and IT skills.
An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
Experience in application facilities management practices in hybrid workforce model of employees and subcontractors.
Demonstrated ability in leading and developing teams in a facilities management environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders across a range of business and client relationships.
