THE COMPANY
Streamline Connect is an owner led Western Australian company that provides connectivity solutions for telecommunications companies, miners and other industrials. Our core focus is construction of communications infrastucture - specifically Wirless Technology enablement and Fibre Optic Cable. Long haul fibre optic cable installation using ploughing and trenching techniques, and 4G/5G and Microwave technology installation and maintenance plus supporting infrastructure such as towers construction and power.
Operating primarily with in house teams and our own plant and machinery, we have extensive work in mines and in regional areas of Western Australia.
THE ROLE
In the Contract Administrator role you will support project and company management with, administration, tactics and strategies to assure our commercial position in a number of projects.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited too;
- Manage all subcontract accounts and commercial performance, including review of payment applications and issuance of payment notices.
- Ensure that all subcontracts, supply and services contracts are procured, executed, delivered and closed out, in accordance with company commercial policies and guidelines.
- Undertake timely and accurate preparation of the monthly costing and financial reporting and forecasting against project budgets.
- Undertake the commercial aspects of contract negotiations and disputes with the Project Manager and subcontractors as and when applicable.
- Preparation of progress claims for work completed in line with commercial and contractual arrangements.
- Identification, pricing and negotiation of variations to the contract.
ABOUT YOU
- At least 3-5 years’ worth of experience working for tier 1 or 2 contractors within the construction / mining space.
- Demonstrated ability to assess claims or variations by subcontractors against the quantity claimed, as well as against their contractual requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse contractual issues and provide and/or recommend solutions through appropriate problem-solving techniques.
- Knowledge and understanding of tendering and procurement processes.
- High attention to detail in scoped works.
- Favourable would be a fundamental understanding of projects working remotely and regionally in mine.
- Financially astute, with relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Knowledge and understanding of subcontract principles, together with the ability to draft and administer subcontracts in the supply chain
- Excellent communicator.
- Teamwork oriented individual.
