This Australian HQ studio have a wide reach of International projects within a particular niche.
This is a newly created role for a Contracts Manager who will be overseeing the contract management to successfully negotiate and administer project contracts and protect the studio’s interests, managing risks and liability.
This includes working closely with the Project Directors to regularly engage with clients to understand their needs; prepare Project Fee Proposals/Variations; and oversee contractual obligations to demonstrate the client value proposition this studio brings to the relationship.
Manages the contracts folio through the negotiation and administration of project contracts and variations and in consultation with their legal representatives.
- Utilise the contract negotiation phase as a relationship building and alignment process with with clients and external stakeholders.
- Workshop the existing studio's proposal template for development and improvement.
- Coach and support relevant internal stakeholders to effectively engage with new and existing client Owners/Operators.
- Understand their USP, strengths and processes to effectively negotiate contract terms and conditions.
- Engagement with Project Directors throughout the life cycle of a project to manage contract and scope conditions, risks and project conclusion.
- Assist the project teams in understanding and managing the contracted scope for their project.
- Report to the Delivery Director on the contract status of all projects. Maintain records of contract negotiation progress and status.
- Support the Business Development team in client engagement and preparation of fee proposals.
- Assess RFP documents for contractual terms and conditions and identify any concerns for discussion.
- Mentor and engage Director-level staff in the contract understanding and negotiation process.
- Timeliness and accuracy of contracts, fee proposals and variations.
- Successful administration and negotiation of contracts through clear communication of company strengths.
- Contribution to building strong relationships between the firm and clients through effective support and engagement.
- Measureable growth in the engagement with, and understanding of, contracts by Project Directors.
Experience reviewing and management of contracts from within the Architecture and Design Industry, and use of a CRM tool to do so, is highly advantageous.
