Based in North Sydney, we have an opening for a Contracts Specialist to join our Legal & Contracts team. This role is suitable for an individual looking to join a flexible, supportive, and inclusive team culture.
Using your business partnering skills, you will act as an enabler to the business and provide contract support to MLA by getting early engagement of key internal stakeholders, providing input and guidance on contracts. You will also ensure that contracts are properly developed in accordance with MLA policies before they are sent through the internal approval process.
Our ideal Contracts Specialist has to:
- Get early engagement of key internal stakeholders to enable a smooth contracting experience
- Support and guidance for project teams on preparation of contracts and statements of work in the initial stages of contract development or statement of work build
- Provide input to key internal stakeholders in the development of a request for tender, during the procurement stage of a tender and evaluation of tender submissions in accordance with MLAs Procurement Policy and Statutory Funding Agreement (SFA)
- Support key internal stakeholders in using available legal resources including guides and checklists
- As required, fill in and support the Contract Administrators in the setup, variation or termination of contracts and projects in MLA’s systems
- Liaise with Legal & Contracts team members including internal legal, Contracts Administrators and paralegals as well as other key stakeholders in the corporate services business unit to facilitate outcomes for contract related matters
