As a Coordinator, Current Candidature, you will:
- Oversee and monitor complex Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidature cases.
- Independently relate existing policy to work assignments and provide detailed advice to stakeholders, team members, students, and staff.
- Review HDR candidature matters and make recommendations to senior leadership.
- Develop and implement detailed work procedures for the team that reinforce good governance, and policy compliance.
- Act as a coach and work with team members to facilitate growth and development by giving balanced, constructive feedback considering individual capability and team performance.
- Bring a strong customer mindset. Strive for excellence and consult regularly with staff/students/stakeholders to clarify who requires the information, the purpose for which it is required, criteria for success and where and when advice and recommendation is required.
- Provide ethical advice to staff/students/stakeholders that address underlying issues, promoting value-adding insights and recommendations. Develop and implement practical, accessible solutions based on stakeholder needs and a customer first mindset.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Completion of a Degree with subsequent relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Extensive experience and specialist knowledge in a university higher degree by research environment.
- Experience with university governance and policy.
- Experience in dealing with confidential materials and sensitive matters.
