Join our clients dedicated team and contribute to the New Parent and Infant Network, a program focused on repairing and strengthening parent-child relationships through therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage the Centre, overseeing all aspects of coordination.
- Support staff in delivering trauma-informed therapeutic interventions, contact visits, playroom activities, and more.
- Supervise and support staff in assessing parents' capacity to participate in the program.
- Facilitate Therapeutic Support Groups and Personal Development Programs when necessary.
- Ensure timely and professional entries in the electronic client data system.
- Conduct staff appraisals, manage leave applications, and provide performance management as required.
- Facilitate weekly team meetings and case reviews.
- Collaborate with government and non-government agencies to promote the Newpin program.
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare, or Social Sciences.
- Minimum 3 years' experience leading a team and effectively supervising, coordinating, and supporting staff.
- Commitment to using attachment theory and trauma-informed work in a strengths-based environment.
- Experience in running groups with a focus on therapeutic support and psycho-educational group work.
- Demonstrated budget and financial management experience.
- Commitment to providing services to socio-economically disadvantaged families, children, and communities.
- Understanding of child protection issues and ability to conduct risk and family assessments.
- Skilled at navigating complex organizations, building relationships, and managing through influence.
This is a full time 6 month contract Duration: Until 30 June 2024.
