Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Coordinator to join our operations and maintenance area. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in maintenance works for civil infrastructure. The position will be able to provide advice on technical, procedural, and work methods for maintenance works and activities, the ability to lead a team, through innovative, positive, and dynamic ways of working to ensure effective resource use and performance.
This position plays a key role in the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of civil infrastructure assets including but not limited to roads, footpaths, and storm-water across the Blue Mountains LGA, to support the Transport and Public Access Service.

Essential:
• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering/Construction Certificate IV or significant experience in civil maintenance/construction
• Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering a proactive construction and maintenance programs and schedules.
• Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role leading and motivating employees and contractors to achieve results in a positive, accountable, team-based environment.
• Well-developed oral and written communication, problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service and the improvement of the customer’s experience.
• Demonstrated planning and work prioritisation skills in a changing work environment across multiple sites/teams.
• Demonstrated technical capabilities that would enable process and asset related diagnosis for maintenance activities.
• Demonstrated ability in planning and prioritising work for teams working in a high-paced operational team environment.
• Proven understanding and experience applying risk management for maintenance and asset failures including natural disasters.
• A sound knowledge of civil construction works and principles with relative experience.
• Sound computer skills with experience in the use of spreadsheets, word processing and databases.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $90,468 gross per annum
+ 11% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary (if eligible)
+ annual award increase
