About the role
Are Media is one of the biggest puzzle publishers in Australia, and as a Copy Editor you will be responsible for ensuring we maintain the high level of accuracy and fun our readers enjoy. This is a permanent part-time opportunity, 2 days per week.
- Reporting to the Editor of the puzzles department, you will be responsible for checking puzzles to ensure accuracy, you will also need to check prize details and marketing pages as needed to ensure legal requirements are met.
- Liaising with other Copy Editors, compilers and the art team you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth production process within the puzzles team.
- This role will be integral to making sure we meet our publishing deadlines on time and on budget.
Duties
- Checking puzzles for accuracy and updating clues as needed. Ensuring all solutions are correct.
- Making sure marketing details are correct and legal obligations are met.
- Working closely with compilers, other Copy Editors and the art team to ensure a smooth production process.
Skills and experience
- Applicants will need to have previous experience working with InDesign, Illustrator and word.
- Applicants will need at least three years puzzle checking or compiling experience
