The Commission is a small statutory agency within the NSW Health Cluster. There are about 30 staff in total and the office is in the Sydney CBD very close to Wynyard station. We work within the Crown award, and have flexible, hybrid workplace guidelines.
About the role
The Mental Health Commission NSW is seeking a Corporate Governance Officer within the Directorate of Operations and Engagement. The role of the Corporate Governance Officer is to lead and coordinate compliance with NSW Government statutory and policy directives, coordinate internal and external audit functions, implement a risk management framework, and ensure overall good governance including prevention of fraud and corruption. The role also has an important function of supporting the Chief Audit Executive with the coordination and secretariat of the Commission's Audit and Risk Committee.

About you
We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic and energetic, pays attention to detail, and has demonstrated experience with developing forward plans to achieve required outcomes. Whilst this position does not have any direct reports, it is essential that the incumbent can successfully engage with stakeholders to obtain required information.
