We are currently recruiting aCorporate HSE Managerto join our Head Office in Osborne Park, Perth. Reporting to the Executive HSE Manager, this role is responsible for assisting our teams deliver safe projects nation-wide and partnering with the business to champion a positive health and safety culture to improve performance.
About the Role:
- Completion of pre-contract/ tendering HSE documentation that requires technical HSE knowledge and experience e.g. Client specific Management Plans
- Manage the HSE start-up process for new projects including the development of project-specific HSE start-up checklists and completion of deliverables e.g. facilitate risk workshops, and coordinating meetings to ensure successful mobilisation
- In consultation with Operations lead the identification, recruitment, and allocation of HSE project resourcing needs across the company (HSE resources will have a functional line to this role, not direct)
- Manage the on-boarding of HSE resources to the Company
- Maintain HSE operational oversight and provide technical support and coaching to our project teams and HSE resources
- Visit project sites and create and maintain positive communication and relationships with our project teams and act as the conduit with Corporate HSE
- Audit the effective implementation of HSE requirements on our project sites
- Conduct extensive investigations for significant incidents e.g. ICAM
- Identify areas for continuous improvement in operational HSE and assist with review, development and implementation of HSE system documentation
- Work collaboratively with Operational leaders in the organisation to help drive our Company HSE Strategy and cultural philosophy
- Represent health and safety to clients for the purpose of demonstrating company capability and relationship building
- Demonstrated experience in a Corporate HSE senior-level role, overseeing multiple project teams, in the Civil Contractor or Construction industry with exposure to remote construction sites -Must
- HSE advisor field experience -Must
- Degree qualified in Health, Safety and Environment space or similar – Preferred
- High-level technical safety skills, including incident investigation (ICAM) and Lead Auditing capability
- Have a collaborative leadership style and a proven track record influencing, coaching and mentoring
- An energetic, autonomous person who can adapt to a dynamic work environment
- Ability to form effective working relationships at all organisational levels of the organisation
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative in identifying continuous improvement in health, safety and environment
- Ability to travel to national sites as required
