The Role: Will allow you to enjoy a great variety of dispute work - banking & finance litigation, commercial and consumer law disputes, contract disputes, Corporations Act litigation, debt recovery, intellectual property disputes, insolvency litigation, insurance disputes, negligence claims, partnership and shareholder disputes, property disputes (including breach of lease), regulatory inquiries, investigations and audits, trust disputes, urgent applications (injunctions and freezing orders) and will & estate disputes (applications for financial management + family provision claims).
What We're Looking For: To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification legal experience.
- Qualification as a lawyer in Australia
- Previous experience in a reputable commercial law firm and/or the in-house legal department of a recognized entity.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver commercially focused legal services to operational teams and business units.
- Strong analytical skills, with the capacity to present logical arguments and make informed decisions.
- Autonomy in managing workloads, meeting deadlines, and resolving conflicting priorities.
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in research, verbal and written communication, and presentation.
- Effective document review, drafting, and editing capabilities.
- Sound project management and coordination skills.
- A client-centric approach, with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
