Cosmetic Chemist

We are currently looking for a full-time Chemist to join our team at TRULUX, a fast-growing company operating from French Forest, NSW. From skin care to hair care, functional foods, packaging, and raw materials, we work with the best ingredients suppliers to create the most innovative products in current and expanding markets.
As a Chemist at Trulux Pty Ltd, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects in the beauty and personal care industry. You will be responsible for conducting research and development, as well as testing and analysing cosmetic products. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality and innovative formulas.
Employment type: Full-time
Salary range: $75,0000 - $85,000 per annum (depending upon skills and experience)
Location: Unit C3 / 1-3 Rodborough Road, Frenchs Forest, NSW 2086
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conducting research through experiments and tests to identify the chemical composition and reactive properties of different synthetic and natural substances with a view to product development and improvement
Analysing the chemical and physical properties of substances
Researching and testing new products and new substance combinations to develop and improve recipes, techniques, and processes
Ensuring product development and research are the core of everything that is done in the company by proposing practical use for research findings
Testing final or improved products for, colour, taste, texture, content, and efficacy
Developing SOPs for preserving, processing, packaging, storing, and transporting final products
Ensuring there are quality control procedures and safety standards in place
Ensuring that all laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, and that any issues or malfunctions are addressed promptly.
Staying up to date with new developments in their field,
Qualifications and Experience:
completed a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biomedical engineering or equivalent
At least 3 years' experience in a similar role
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
A collaborative attitude to work in teams in a fast-paced environment
An outstanding eye for detail, always looking for improvements
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Skills and Competencies:
Experience in a product development role
Previously worked within the Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, or similar industry
Understanding of end-to-end delivery of new products to market
Solid understanding of common frameworks used in the industry
Enjoys a variation of tasks and is flexible and adaptive to changing workloads, deadlines, and developments
Implementation of Strategic planning
