Position:Cost Accountant
Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing cost data to support effective decision-making and financial planning within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze cost reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies between actual costs and budgeted/forecasted costs.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data.
- Monitor and review cost allocations, expenditures, and inventory valuation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of cost accounting policies and procedures.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all cost accounting entries are accurate and timely.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business strategies and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or a related role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
